How To Report Animal Cruelty Case

1. Call 100 or 112 Helpline

Share your name, location, and details of residents planning to relocate strays, which is a punishable offense u/s 11 IPC of Animal Cruelty Act. Mention the names of individuals who are trying to relocate the strays.

2. Visit Police Station or Request Beat Marshall

100 will either ask you to visit the nearest police station to give a written complaint OR will send Beat Marshalls. ALWAYS ask for Beat Marshall.

3. Explain to Beat Marshall

Beat Marshall will call you and visit the location within an hour. Explain the same details to them and share the names of the individuals again.

4. File NC at the Police Station

They will ask you and the named individual to visit the police station. File an NC against the society and individuals who are planning to relocate the strays.

5. Final Warning and Legal Action

Once the NC is filed, the society and individuals are given a final warning by the police. Strays or you being the complainant cannot be abused, attacked, or touched. Else IPC 428 & 429 is invoked, which is a non-bailable offense leading to arrest for 3 months and a fine.
