Share your name, location, and details of residents planning to relocate strays, which is a punishable offense u/s 11 IPC of Animal Cruelty Act. Mention the names of individuals who are trying to relocate the strays.
100 will either ask you to visit the nearest police station to give a written complaint OR will send Beat Marshalls. ALWAYS ask for Beat Marshall.
Beat Marshall will call you and visit the location within an hour. Explain the same details to them and share the names of the individuals again.
They will ask you and the named individual to visit the police station. File an NC against the society and individuals who are planning to relocate the strays.
Once the NC is filed, the society and individuals are given a final warning by the police. Strays or you being the complainant cannot be abused, attacked, or touched. Else IPC 428 & 429 is invoked, which is a non-bailable offense leading to arrest for 3 months and a fine.
Word to word HAS to be followed. Do not back out in any case. If asked to settle the matter, insist on filing the complaint.
